This little earring is so cute. I bought the 5mm for my helix (12 year old piercing) but it turned out to be too small. I have small ears but my piercing still acts up so it felt a bit tight at times. If you are buying for a single helix that isn’t particularly low on your ear, I would recommend a longer post. I just wear this on my second lobe now and it’s still cute!
The Patt and Fat Patt earrings have saved my helix piercings from longstanding pain due to wearing gold rings. The center one was constantly irritated. I did need to request an exchange of the posts to the 6.5mm in order to get a perfect comfortable fit, and this will take some doing for you to get right. The jewelry shouldn’t be changing the shape of your ear, so if you see a dimple it’s almost certainly going to swell and hurt. Get a post that’s too long, though, and it’ll flop instead of staying put. Mine stay in place unless I do something really disruptive like putting on sunblock or something. I don’t mind occasionally adjusting one though-I always had to do that with my old rings anyway.
Inserting them myself isn’t as easy as putting in a regular earring of course, but it’s very doable. The piece is big enough to hold and it has a long tang so it’s easy to get it inserted and keep it there while you’re screwing it down. I’ve been checking the snugness of mine every couple of days and never found one getting loose.
Pro tip-at night, rotate them down so they dangle and aren’t wrapped around your ear. 100% comfortable to sleep on.

Super cute ear ring, very comfy and seems like high quality, i believe that this type of pericing is meant for holes on the very edge of the ear
Haven’t taken them out since I’ve put them in my upper lobe piercings. Perfect size, I love them!
